These clients had a spectacular, architecturally designed home but felt it was too austere and lacked any cosy spaces.
Endeavoring to respect the architect’s vision and not distract from the beautiful structural features and breath taking bush and harbour views, I used simple structural and luxurious pieces with a heavy use of high-end vendors. A neutral colour scheme employed, inspired by the trunks of the ghost surrounding gum trees on property.
A key element of the project was the master bedroom suite, which had 9 lineal metres of soft grey/blue Italian linen drapes that puddle on the floor, complimenting the colour of the sun lit skies. When closed, the drapes create a luxurious, tent like effect in the bedroom – creating instant intimacy.
